The first song almost made me turn this album right off, but I stuck with it because I wanted to give it a fair chance. It’s definitely a slow, gradual album, but in the end only three songs really stood out to me. One of my biggest issues was that the harmonica felt way overused. His voice also came across as very nasal to my ears. I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if he sang a little less and let the instrumentation breathe on its own, because the music itself had some really cool moments. Overall, I genuinely tried to give the album a chance, but it just wasn’t for me.
