Dookie by Green Day

Punk at its most commercial. Whoever decided the bass should sound like that the entire record is a terrorist. Deeply unmusical performances, bad vocal performance choices, bad mixing. Sassafras Roots 🤮 FOD and All By Myself are the most interesting songs on the record. A small handful of fun songs. Probably would’ve thought it was badass if I had listened when I was 13.

It sounds like they had a lot of fun in the studio. And isn’t that what really matters?

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones

Would’ve been 3.5/5 but there’s that incredibly whack song about the 15 year old that knocks it down a notch. Really great drum/percussion sounds throughout. Songwriting is hit or miss for me

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin

Robert Plant 🤮 Jimmy Page 🤮 John Paul Jones 😁 John Bonham 🤩 I’ve simply never enjoyed Zeppelin. Type of band the most annoying musician in the world insists you have to like. I enjoy the song Rock and Roll though.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull

Leans corny. I like the more orchestrated and folk moments more than the rock bits. It’s really 2.5/5, but I’ll give them them the 3 for the flute player
