Highlights: stone cold crazy, killer queen, flick of the wrist Hearing this, I notice a heavier rock element added to the sound, notably on stone cold killer. All members evolve with their signature touches (Mercury with his wide range of vocals and talented piano work may with his exubrant guitar work. Fun fact: Apparently, due to Brian May having to be in the hospital, John Deacon laid down acoustic guitar parts along some of ghe tracklist. This album for me begged ghe question of who else in rock can not only preform to the magnitude that Queen did, but while bringing in elements of opera, heavy rock to nearly a thrash metal, pop as well as classical? Very few, if any. Moving forward, it was followed by "A Night at the Opera" (one of my favorite rock albums of all time - mostly for "Death on Two Legs") and "A Day at the Races", album titles influenced from at that time pop culture icons, The Marx Brothers.

Definitely a staple as far as classic rock is considered. Other Eagles songs I regard highly are Take it Easy, Take it to the Limit, and One of these Nights. "Hotel California" delivers much of the same with a polished sound that the band had established up to that point. Highlight tracks : title track, Life in the Fast Lane, New Kid in Town
