1001 Albums Summary

Yes’s guitar riff is very nice, lowkey kinda catchy. Lyrics were creeping me out, the drums were great aswell. White americas guitar riff was cool aswell, some of of protest aswell, vocals was very strong. Walking abortion was probably one of the most intense so because of the fast upbeat pace, this song has just raw emotion and energy. My personal favourite was faster becuase it brings good energy and great drums and guitar, it just has a good balance between everything which is the reason why, it’s not too aggressive and not too emotional. Another good song was she is suffering one of the laid back songs, showing how the band could switch it up in this album and not have such aggressive songs. Overall, I found this album actually good, I thougt it would’ve been kinda ahh cus of the album cover (coleslaw music). But yeah, ma rating is a good 3.8/5.

This album was perfect, I loved the message, intrumentation and the overall vibe it gave off. What’s going on had to be my favourite, becuase of the overall message questioning the world what’s happening and how we need to be the change. Most of the songs have tho smooth bass those cool drums and gospel like singing, rnb vibes. Other songs like God is love was great aswell because joyful and had a great message aswell. Mercy mercy me, is how we should take care more our our environment and the way we are living and treating towards eachother. This album again was great because it was very well put together and wasn’t js one genre, it was a mix between soul, jazz and gospel which is rare nowadays to have something like this. Gaye also gave amazing messages in these songs that we can learn from till this day. Which is why I’m giving it a 4.7/5
