Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age

A bit of a one-trick pony in terms of sonics and texture. The trick itself is quite good, though - heavy sound but not aggressive. Dramaturgically interesting as well - it disintegrates the further it goes, which also makes the album drag a bit.

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Aug 17 2026

Already listened to this a long time ago, remember it being fun and explosive, especially the piano.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Aug 18 2026

Tasteful, guitar- and bass-driven disco. Gets a bit too ballady and syrupy in the second half, although the string work is nice. Enjoyable throughout nonetheless.

The Band by The Band
Aug 20 2026

Sort of struggled through this one. Too few catchy melodies for an album that seems to aim at being an Americana bar sing-along classic.
