1001 Albums Summary

Great record. 4 songs that are on all the best of packages. "Tiger", which was recently used in the movie "Dust Bunny". Not a bad song on here.

I've never listened to The Arctic Monkeys on purpose. This is a pretty good record. I expected more of a light pop sound. They rock pretty good. My only points of reference I can compare them to is Bloc Party and Spacehog. They sound like neither one of these bands, but I catch hints of the Spacehog singer in this singer and hints of Bloc Party songs like "Helicopter" in some of these songs. Arctic Monkeys play pretty hard with smart lyrics. Hate the band name, but I'm glad I listened to this record. Time will tell if I'm interested enough to catch up on the rest of their catalog.
