3.5/5 great way to start off my journey through this list! nirvana was a big part of my teenage days, listening to their albums on repeat to fuel my angst. i’ve been reflecting on my gratitude to have indulged in nirvana so deeply when i was a teenager because i believe it’s designed for the depressed adolescent mind. i’ve been thinking that i’ve outgrown the band altogether because it doesn’t align with my current state of mind as an adult. however, mtv unplugged might have been just what i needed to change my mind on that point. as the only album in the discography that i haven’t really listened to yet, it was nice to finally circle back and give it a listen. i know almost all of these songs by heart but havnt heard them so stripped down and raw. i love how true to the originals these renditions are. it’s all so tender and pure. this is definitely the nirvana that fits best into this time of my life and i’m grateful.
