1001 Albums Summary

Crunchy. Time and again I’m struck by how much more aggressive sound older, blues influenced rocks has than more modern stuff. Deeply melancholic at several points as well.

Straight bangers, even more than expected. Can see why this rules so much of edm even now, it feels like people are afraid to try and copy because they know they can’t do it as good

If you think jazz should be smooth, this IS the album for you. Fuck the bebop, fuck the avant garde, this is some beautiful Melodys with swinging beats to jig your legs along to. Gives you what you need before you even knew you wanted it.

You can see so much influence in basically all of drum and bass written all over this album. Which is good, because I like drum and bass.
