1001 Albums Summary

4th Dimensional Tradition sounds like it inspired the new Harry Styles album, especially the experimental drum machine and synths. I also like Pieces of What; it has an early-2000s feel that fits an indie rock album, but without the instrumental synth experimentation this album has. Licks of Led Zeppelin's Tangerine and Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp. The Handshake also feels like a big inspiration for Harry Styles, while you hear some Rolling Stones essence in the Mick Jagger-esque vocals and bright drums. There is also that Bowie feel in the cadence of the vocals and the way emphasis is put on certain lyrcis. For some reason, the album feels different than its hit songs, Time to Pretend, Electric Feel, and Kids. Like they put the most experimentation into the hit singles because it gave them such a unique sound that was needed to succeed in the early 2000s. Future Reflections snuck up on me as one of my favorites on the album; it feels like this production would be on KISSCO, Harry's new album.
