1001 Albums Summary

I liked it but the album itself wouldn’t make it into my regular rotation. I had already added Break on Through to my favorites list so I’m familiar with the Doors but hadn’t heard most of the album. Love the vocals, the distortion, and the keys when they’re in the background. The high pitched keys in the foreground aren’t my favorite.

I enjoyed this album a lot. I’ve heard 7 nation army and a few others but never sat down to listen to anything else from him. I was pleasantly surprised.

I love Beastie Boys. Their range and the quality of their samples and influences is amazing. From chill instrumentals like Sambrosa to hard charging songs like Sabotage to catchy tracks Ilike Root Down. This album played nonstop in my CD player back in the day. It’s aged so well too.

It's chill. Lot's of Noah Kahan vibes mixed with Bob Dylan. I enjoyed it. I probably wouldn't put it on proactively but I wouldn't stop someone from playing it on a road trip. I could see myself getting to like a handful of these songs.

I like the music. It’s clear to me tbeyre talented. It’s hard to get into because I can’t sing along so it’s not something I’d listen to on the regular.

I had never heard any of these songs other than brass in pocket. I like some of the music. The band has a decent range and a number of influences, but it’s not really my vibe.

Musically solid but I don’t love the vocals. A couple classics here but would not listen to the album regularly.
