Birth Of The Cool

chill cozy enjoyable album with a soothing sound which feels nostalgic and familiar to the listener. although i enjoyed most of it i cant hide the fact that the two major instruments (trompet and drums) make it a little repetitive and not stand out as much as a whole. the way miles davis plays the trompet is unorthodox and surprisingly interesting at times but i wouldnt say that it carries out through the whole record. its fun and a great introduction for me in the jazz genre but it lacks a bit of experimentation imo. 6/10
