1001 Albums Summary

The Genius of Ray Charles was a great start for me because it introduced me to an artist that I never really knew of instead of a couple songs. Jazz has always been my top three favorite genres, so i was really excited to listen. Most of his songs were slow, jazzy songs which was good because i preferred that over his more upbeat songs like “let the good times roll” and “Alexander’s ragtime band”. My favorite song from the album was either “just for a thrill” or “you won’t let me go”. All in all it was a great listen

36 Chambers was a whole experience. This album has always been on my bucket list to listen to because I have heard so many great things about this album. I loved the groups humorous, yet socially aware topics with unique metaphors, word play, and instrumentals. My favorite songs were probably “can it all be so simple” “da mystery of chessboxin’” and “tearz”. I am most likely going to listen to this album again.
