1001 Albums Summary

Interesting to see the influences of many modern alternative rock artists. The Smiths have a form of their own, somewhere between rock and a disappointed punkrock before either genre bore a characteristic. I hear the roots of the likes of Muse or The Strokes in much of the Smith's music, including the pretentious lilt that gives them a bite into the modern cunty insufferable nature that can often accompany the genre. Good and lacking humility; a lesson in modern democracy.
