Why did no one tell me this album was like a combination of Yes, Queen, and Pink Floyd?! It's got a lot of the things I like about psych rock, leaning in a vaguely prog rock direction.
Heard this album before, but it was better than I remembered. Chill album, without a ton of what I would call hooks, but still very pleasant and enjoyable. 4/5
I appreciate the songwriting and arrangement of these songs, but the Flaming Lips are not a band I really ever enjoy. Everything on this album sounds great, but nothing that has me wanting to play it again.
Okay, Flaming Lips are pretty cool. A lot of it runs together, but this is solid symphonic rock. I can get behind this. B
