Probably the best of the Bob Dylan albums I've heard thus far but I just can't get properly into him. It was pretty good though.

This album surprised me a bit. I had low expectations but I think for the first time in a long time I really heard the appeal of Bob Dylan from many of these songs. I think a lot of it had to do with him staying in his vocal range more and keeping it real simple. I was able to appreciate the songs as a whole and not get distracted by his voice. Probably not something I'd spin again for myself, but would definitely consider it for a backyard gathering or group roadtrip.
I'm not a Dylan stan, but this is probably as good as he'll ever sound. A lot of his best songwriting, stripped down to their bare essence. Still, even though I understand his performance, I'd rather put on some Tom Petty instead. A-
Liked this more than any of the other Bob Dylan albums we've listened to. That being said, I still probably wouldn't throw this on ever. 2.75/5
How many Bob Dylan albums are in this thing?! Masters of War is a great tune, but a lot of this just feels too sappy for me.
