I like Eels songs individually usually, but I always lose interest trying to listen to a whole album. Same thing here; first few tracks hold my attention but I was quickly wanting to move on to something else. So I don't think I'd revisit this as a whole often, but in bits and pieces it's pretty good.
Eh. It was fine. I've heard it before, and it still doesn't do a lot for me. I don't care much for his singing, and his lyrics are weird. Some of the compositions are cool though. 2.75/5
I have a friend who traveled to Germany just for an Eels show, but I’ve never listened to them before. Sorry Steven, but they’re just alright. I love good 90s alt, and it’s decent stuff, but not world-traveling good. C
