S'alright. There's some classic Priest hits on here, and it has the early sounds of what will become Screaming For Vengeance. It's rooted quite a bit in hard rock, so it doesn't always hit for me, but I still liked this.
Yay, more metal! I’ve been listening to Priest for nearly 20 years now and I still love these guys… but British Steel has never 100% worked for me. There are a couple too many anthemic tracks that I can do without- seriously, “You Don’t Have to Be Old to Be Wise”?- but I’ll concede that they’ve honed their sound in the studio by this point, sounding nearly as good here as they do live. I’d still recommend this for a newbie to metal, but I’m way more of a Painkiller/Hell Bent guy. B
