Some great singles and responsible for bringing Captain Lou Albano to the masses. But essential as a whole, doubtful. 2/5.
I'm pretty sure the only 2 Cyndi Lauper songs I knew before I listened to this album were Girls Just Want to Have Fun and Time After Time. This was a lot of fun, though I'm not sure I would listen again as a full album, but I might pull out a single every once in a while. 3/5 for me today.
I only know two Cyndi Lauper songs, and one of them is on this album, so it's all good. Oh, wait! I know this one too!! (Time After Time) Not terrible, but not that good either. 2 / 5 stars.
The first 6 songs are great. It drags a bit after that…
A fun album, it's by no means perfect, the Prince cover is pretty bad and the last half is lackluster, but when it hits, it does so hard. 80's new wave fun with a LOT of personality.
