Rumours
Fleetwood Mac

Upbeat, good harmonies, good mixing/balance of each instrument. Subtle organ is really nice and good bass. I was thinking that maybe Dreams would feel overhyped, but it just is so nice to listen to. I did not expect to hear really good fingerpicking guitar (Never Going Back Again) but it is awesome. Never Going Back Again followed by Don't Stop feels a little odd - like almost unbelievable that they are on the same album, especially back to back. Go Your Own Way has some of the best backing music and melodies that I've heard. It's just so interesting to listen to the pieces underneath the voices (the voices are really great too though). The bassline is just sick and backing guitar too. It feels like a band, and feels like they all are contributing and doing something interesting (and having fun). Some of the guitar solos are kinda whatever, but the one on The Chain stands out. I feel like the bass guitar really helps this album stand out. It's really clear - definitely the sound I enjoy from a bass guitar. Album keeps it up through the end - the last song Gold Dust Woman has some really nice guitar on it, and is a great song too (although I could do with less yelling/moaning at the end lmao). I feel a little odd loving the harmonies here when I just yesterday listened to Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes, but I think there's more instrumentation in Fleetwood Mac compared to the Fleet Foxes album.
