It was my first time listening to the full album of REM. I've been fan to some of their music, like 'Nightswimming', and 'Everybody Hurts'. In the end, the way I liked those songs is the same as I liked this album - pleasent to listen to, but definitely without fanfare. In general, album didn't have anything outstanding, something I could get a grip of, to start a journey together. Two best songs were exactly in the same style as whole album, on the melancholic side, slow with a characteristic vocal of Michael Stipe. And as usually I am a fan of this arrangements, this album was just average.
