Head Hunters
Herbie Hancock

What an album! I think this is a perfect record for someone that is starting their jazz or funk journey and don't want to be overwhelmed straight away. Everything just flows so nicely, beats are so catchy and exciting, and the multiple solos, or improvisation never takes you out of the groove, but even add an another dimension to the music. It is especially visible on the opening track, "Chameleon". The beat just goes on and on, but it never tires you, or make you exhausted, because the additional instruments always add something new and exciting to it. I'm not an expert in jazz, but in my opinion this album was much more funk focused, than jazz. Maybe that's why it started a new subgenre like jazz-funk, or funk fusion, like we can read on wikipedia. Anyway, great stuff, very nice album to listen to for a more classy party. Definitely goes on my party list.
