A Night At The Opera
Queen

Who doesn't like a good Queen album... ? I swear I was going to answer 'Me!' to this question a few months ago when I first listened to this album. Brian May, Freddie Mercury, what's there not to like...? Well, the track '39 for starters... Seaside Rendezvous, Love of My Life and Good Company also not my favorites... but Bohemian Rhapsody brings this home. Also, I really enjoyed Sweet Lady. Yeah, a majority of this album sounds like a Victorian circus. It's a little campy and straight-laced, right up to the chin. Even Bohemian Rhapsody is hammy. This evidenced by the famous '76 AMC Pacer scene in Waynes World. It's fun, I've heard it a million time and doesn't get old (Thanks Wayne and Garth) but it carries a lot of baggage with it. That is the balance of this album weighs down the goodness and it's just not for me.
