Rock 'N Soul
Solomon Burke

I’m willing to admit this score could be a result of 50s/early 60s fatigue because two days in a row is pretty brutal. Solomon Burke has a real smooth tone, so I’ll give him his props there. But there really wasn’t much that stood out here. Honestly, old music bias aside, I think this just wasn’t that strong an album, even for the genre/time. I’m willing to give this a 2 just because it wasn’t as outright offensive as my 1’s. I didn’t necessarily dislike anything I heard but I can promise you none of this will stick with me. This is one of the first that I’m really questioning its place on this list. Best: If you need me (this song grew on me and kinda goes hard) MMM (yikes): Honestly none. Just spent some time searching for this and couldn’t find anything memorable. I truly don’t think I’ll remember any of these Melodies tomorrow so doing a MMM would be dishonest.
