1999 and few more years after that definitely belonged to Britney Spears. I wouldn't call myself a fan of this type of music, but I knew all the lyrics to the hits from this record. And now, 25 years later, I have my first approach to listen to the full album. And what a weird journey that was. Songs like "Soda Pop" and "The beat goes on" definitely don't belong in here. Some other songs are extremely cheesy, you can't get much more "naughty" than that. And the hits slightly lost their power now, but one still has to appreciate how much she changed musical landscape with those singles. Rating for the album would be 1 without the impact and fond memories, but because of that, it goes up to 3.
