The Real Thing
Faith No More

Some of this is basically metal, like Surprise! You're Dead, but otherwise it's a somewhat confusing mix of genres. The intro is a solid hard rocker. Hit single Epic probably sounded fresh in 1989 but I don't think it does now. There's some good moments: I liked the distorted bassline and guitar work in The Morning After. Woodpecker from Mars is an interesting track with a middle Eastern sounding riff and an extended breakdown. The cover of War Pigs is fun. I don't know what to make of this.
