Strong start with Thunder Road and the title track is an all American classic. It fizzled out a bit after that, for me. Had higher hopes for the epic closer Jungleland which never really hit the heights it threatened. Parts of this album sound like if Meatloaf had shown more restraint, which isn't what I was expecting here. Good, not great, but definitely some choice cuts to come back to.
