It's miraculous to me that someone like Damon Albarn whose the vast majority of his work is criticised in sounding like Gorillaz B-cuts even with 4 other known artists collaborating on the project still achieves this. I do love his voice but c'mon all this shit sounds like the Fall just a bit better. Albarn doesn't know when to quit or atleast take his time, he has so many projects beneath his belt and countless albums but only a handful of great ones. I actually liked the vast majority of songs, the opening and closing tracks are definitely the highlights but it took me a couple listens to really get into the album. 7/10 Fav tracks - History Song, Northern Whale, Herculean, Behind the Sun, The Bunting Song, Nature Springs, Three Changes, The Good the Bad and the Queen Least Fav - 80s life, Soldier Tale
