With a name like 'The Band', I really expected this to be a lot more up it's own ass than it was. I was only familiar with Weight & Long Black Veil (covered by other artists) before this and seeing the folk/psychedelic genre tags had me feeling like this might not be up my alley similar to a previous album covered on the list. But this surprisingly won me over as it went along. I enjoyed the more psychedelic rock tracks here than the folk ones, not to say those are bad by any means though. On that note, while they have their own distinct sound, I liked that there was some separation between the country/folk music and the rock tracks. Rather than just merging them together for a whole album. Highlights: To Kingdom Come, This Wheels on Fire, I Shall Be Released, The Weight
