Wyatt, seems to be the godfather of British experimental music in the early / mid 70's. The most interesting thing I found about him were his connections. Pitchfork writes "...he's an astoundingly versatile and prolific collaborator: the six-degrees-of-Kevin-Bacon figure who directly links Jimi Hendrix, Hot Chip, Swell Maps, Pink Floyd, and Björk." I don't care much for this album, but does suggest Robert Wyatt may have more influence as a collaborator on the music I do care about. Swell Maps has got to be one of my favorite discoveries in recent years... and Björk ... well, hits and misses, but there's no one else just like her.
