What a bold album to release as your debut. Feels very ahead of its time for an album released in 1969. Cracker of an opening song. Talk to the wind - nice. The meandering components of songs like moonchild where there's extended periods of meaningless noodling gets very tiresome - like I get this is a prog album but seriously... It's memerorable only in it's ability to create irriration in the listener. Besides that lull in the middle, a strong album. 4/5. The court of the crimson king is such a breath of fresh air after the snoozefest of moonchild.
