Wow I always thought XTC was really cool and this is making me reconsider that. Meandering baroque pop shit that goes shamelessly deep into some Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney worship more than I'd ever care to hear (but with cornier lyrics). Never listened to this shit until now. I don't know, man. Of all the two XTC records to put, why have this be the one that isn't Skylarking. Such a random choice. Am I missing something? Was this really influential or or significant to someone back then? Who was listening to this in 1999? Why is this on the list but Drums and Wires isn't. Drums and Wires is one of of the best records ever made. I am confused. Who even listens to this. What is this National Geographic documentary midlife crisis music. What is going on.
