Addictive beats. The synths cut like buzzsaws and the bass is tight and rumbly on Leave Home. I dig it straight away. In Dust We Trust is even better with synth riffs and incessant drums. Lots of layered rhythms and melodies. Song To The Siren is more industrial, leading into Three Little Birdies Down beat with a steady 4/4 beat and grimy acid riff, strongest track so far for me. The acid sounds continue for another couple tracks, then we finally pause and Chico's Groove slows things down with breakbeats and spacey melodies. One Too Many Mornings is chilled out and pretty - the most radio friendly cut? The next couple of tracks are darker, more stripped down, and then Alive Alone is a melodic closer. The second half perfectly takes the edge off after the intensity of the first 6 tracks. Can't believe I haven't listened to this before.
