Smoke On The Water has been ruined for me by a million shitty marching band covers, but the story behind it is pretty fucking Rock & Roll. Some ass hat shot a flare gun off at a Zappa concert and burnt the place down where Deep Purple was gonna record this album. Who knew 🤷🏻♂️. Overall, I liked it. Definitely more Rock than Metal, but I can see those early Heavy Metal seeds starting to poke their heads out on this thing.
