The Bucket is the closest we get to a decent track and it flies off the rails near the end of the song. Day Old Blues is ok, then you get a grating hook. Everything else, the lyrics are practically incoherent. The sound is this discernible clanging, it’s just noise, and when the sound is listenable or dare I say good like a Day Old Blues or a Bucket, the singer’s grating voice ruins it. It’s weird, cause I’ve heard a couple Kings songs before this, I heard Sex on Fire and Closer and always liked those, maybe it’s nostalgia, but either way, this kinda sucks by comparison. Maybe they just didn’t find their sound yet at this stage?
