This is my first time properly listening to Prince. Always heard good things, and there's definitely some cool ideas here, but I experienced a really weird thing with this one, where the production made me want to turn it up louder, but then it was too loud. I couldn't find the 'right volume'. I think it's because I was listening on Spotify web player which doesn't normalize the volume, and I guess this record must be all over the place dynamics-wise. Anyway, I digress. Favourite tracks: Sign 'O' the Times, Housequake, The Ballad of Dorothy Parker, Starfish and Coffee.
