I thought I knew The Who. I had a brief but serious Who phase in college where I considered myself a true Fan. Truth is, downloading their "greatest hits" album doesn't count. This album is a fascinating slice out of the evolutionary tree of rock and roll. There's a bit of everything here, from doo-wop to beach bop to heavy rock.
