It's Blitz!
Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Tons of hooks and a great full-sounding production from the start. Stabbing synths and driving bass on Zero sets the stage. Heads Will Roll is the big anthem with catchy vocal melodies and crunchy guitars, but I liked Soft Shock more, overlapping synth riffs building throughout. Everything sounds retro because of the keys and vocals but with a modern flair to it. Good if you like your indie rock with a heavy dose of synth pop. Skeletons is a different kind of sound, opting for big soundscapes and drums. From here we mostly alternate between quicker and slower songs. Runaway is more in the vein of Skeletons, epic and cinematic, and Dragon Queen is excellent with a 70s sound and another big bassline. Little Shadow is a dreamy closer. I'm left contented, but conflicted on the rating. Sticking with ****, but on a good day this could go higher.
