I knew of the Young Gods but ever had a proper listen. I'm really glad I did now! Over my smart speaker it all came across as quite aggressive and chaotic, but the album is beautifully produced and over a good hifi system it shines. Not that is easy listening - anything but. Industrial rock is not usually sing-along music. It's also not musci I will often play at home but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate it for what it is. It is a bit like some (other) art forms, say a painting, that isn't necessarily "beuatiful" but that is well made, and transpires skill and emotion. The vocals remind me of Arno (and TC Matic before he went solo) which is a huge complement. I like Arno more though. Plus, elements of dEUS (another Belgian band), a bit of Les Tambours du Bronx,... it's a nice combo and the album creates its won atmosphere. I'm not calling it a 5* - I just don't enjoy it enough. But a very decent 3* or actually a 4* for the artistic merit. When in the right mood only - if not it is all a bit much.
