It's pretty insane how ahead of their time their sound is. 1989 is an insane release year for this record. Same as when you listen to Surfer Rosa or Doolittle. Except that a bunch of the music that was inspired by The Pixies was actually good, and the music inspired by The Stone Roses was...less so.
