I particularly enjoyed the (strangely titled) 2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten, which means more heartland rock than country I guess. There's a bit of Dylan influence at times, but she has a distinctive voice and her own brand of Americana, updated for the 90s. Some of this sounds like stuff Taylor Swift would like... The middle section is almost all good, with only Concrete and Barbed Wire missing the mark for me. Metal Firecracker might be the best of the bunch, bendy guitar blending harmoniously with her drawl. Jackson is a great closer, mournful voice full of vibrato amid gentle acoustic backing.
