Far from the standard punk rock I expected. Much more varied in tempo and style. Love Songs to open and we even get a brief melodic solo, brusquely transitioning into the title track which is more standard speedy stuff. I Just Can't Be Happy Today sounds like a 60s rocker at first but with the drumming and chaos factor amped up. I dig it. Melody Lee ramps the speed up further but keeps the, well, melody, creating something closer to proto pop punk to my ears. Plan 9 Channel 7 is another good one with a soaring chorus and a runtime exceeding 5 (!) minutes. Looking At You matches it for length and opts for a more progressive song structure with dueling guitars. And they save the best for last. Smash It Up is a two parter, a pretty intro leading into a tight, catchy rocker. Overall lots of great riffs and keyboards amid the Noise, Noise, Noise (sorry) and the rhythm section is more than capable of keeping up. It's nice to be wrong sometimes.
