Channel Orange
Frank Ocean

Man the top negative reviews for this album seem slightly racist. Anyway, this album holds a special place in my heart, although I like Blonde slightly more. Frank has one of the best singing voices in modern music and Channel Orange is the proof. The production and instrumentation here shapeshift with each song and as the story (Frank's emotional growth) continues. Super Rich Kids and Pyramids are lauded as two of Frank's best, rightfully so, and the radio hits are popular for a reason (Lost and Thinkin Bout You, respectfully), but the deep cuts here are incredible (Monks, Pilot Jones, Forrest Gump, Crack Rock.... man). Easy 4.5, bumping to 5 because it's my ratings so why the hell not
