"Pumpin up the funky beat until the break of day..." good summary of opener The Boomin' System. LL's flow is on point, promising start. Around The Way Girl her a somewhat dated-sounding chorus but the verses are just as strong as the opener. I'm enjoying the darker beat on the next track. This straddles a couple decades of hip hop but the overall sound is more 1980s for me. Title track still goes aggressively hard with a classic drum break and simple melody. Not sure there's enough standouts after that, but the consistency is there with plenty of variety in the beats and samples. Earns at least an extra half point for not having any skits or interludes.
