Solid album. Absolutely love China Girl especially. It was surprisingly experimental in its use of synths and atmospheric style compositions. I can also see why Iggy Pop is clearly an important pre-cursor to punk music.
The Doors had an iconic sound from the start. That classic organ paired with Jim Morrison's howl is unbeatable. Both cool and rebellious, it's a solid debut, even if a few songs meander a bit.

The Who truly prove themselves to be one of the greats, while exceeding the studio quality of their songs with extravagantly raw live performances like the one on this album. I especially like Keith Moon's drumming.

One of the great art rock artists and one of his solid proto-punk works. I especially like when he works jazz into his sound like on Goodnight Ladies. Also Walk on the Wild Side is a certified classic.
