1001 Albums Summary

Pretty good album. Sounds like progressive rock. Recognized 2-3 songs. Never really listened to Led Zeppelin that much. Not bad for a boomer band.

Mellow album. Very typical early 70s soft pop/rock. A couple of recognizable songs. Coconuts. Muppet show memories. Not very memorable. 3/5

Smooth album. Large hip hop influence. Great vocals.

Tried to hard to sound topical. Some of it sounded like traditional Beach Boys. Other parts sounded like they were trying to keep up with the early 70s Joneses.

Good album overall. The Flaming Lips definitely show their range and versatility on this one. Sounds fresh after 20+ years. Not quite at their peak, but close.

Post-punk. Very listenable. Succinct. Not dated.
