Graceland by Paul Simon

I would listen to this while driving through rolling mountainous rural areas or while baking banana bread in a sunny kitchen with my grandma. Might also be good for dancing to in a low lit living room after drinking white wine. Overall, fosters a happy ambiance with memorable melodies and an artisan-craftsman-house vibe.

If I were to mosh pit, which I do not, this album would be up there in something that brings that type of energy. I respect what they're trying to do. Perhaps I could listen to one of these songs on my way out the door of a pregame. I could not directly get in an uber after.

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson

This is Sunday morning spring cleaning music. Open the blinds, open the windows because and it’s just warm enough. The sun peeks through some clouds and you know it’s gonna stay out all day. It’s time to get out the swifter. Really enjoying the Beatles-esque voice meshed with a few electric guitar riffs. Reminds me of Carole King.

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's

Almost as if the Friends theme song was on repeat for 11 tracks in a row. Giving strong Glitter Boys vibes. Would dance to this music by spinning in circles while jumping up and down quickly. Title song sounds like a mash up of We Are The Kids in America, Green Day, and the movie Grease. Would make good music for dramatic soap opera montages or driving scenes in the movie Clueless. This album is not the song by Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj, nor is it similar in any way.

Would be some good road tripping music to bring you a little taste of nostalgia each time you return to the car after a pee break in Taco Bell. Consistently has a spunky beat that keeps you bouncing in your seat. I would also listen to this while sitting on a beach wall in the late 90s. People are around you smoking cigs while kids play with beach balls that smell of warm plastic. The pavement distorts the air above it as heat rises and the temperature slowly cools as night settles in. Somewhere between The Strokes and The Beach Boys. I love the mono recording that gives off an old scratchy, vinyl album feel. Not surprisingly, this sounds exactly like of one of my favorite songs Sunny Afternoon, the Kinks certainly have a recognizable brand.

Shake Your Money Maker by The Black Crowes

Opens with guitar that is the sound of how I wanted to be perceived in 8th grade. This would be brewery singing-from-the-cellar music. Definitely strong summer night highway, mustang convertible vibes. The camera pans straight down the center yellow line, does a flip, and focuses on you with your hair whipping around jamming out to this. Vocals are as if he is yelling in a whisper the entire time. Slows it down a little bit towards the end and brings back reminiscent feelings of an 8th grade dance. You stand there, looking at the swaying couples wondering if they'll get married, emotions are high as you gear up for middle school graduation. Rascal Flatts met Led Zeppelin and then created a Green Day cover band; I don't hate it.
