Talking Heads 77
Talking HeadsDecisions, decisions, decisions... a big theme throughout. This album feels like it needs a few more listens to really pick up every detail. David Byrne has a unique voice. Tina Weymouth crushing it on the bass.

Solid production and string writing. Loved this album and will definitely be listening to more by the band. A very cool blend of styles.
Hit me with the horns! Overall, I like the mellow vibe and smooth grooves.

Definitely made for a specific audience, which is not me. Some tracks actually made me laugh. The back half of the album shows a little more artistry, though, and I enjoyed a couple tunes.
Genius intro track perfectly setting up the journey of the album. Expert use of samples for effect and to connect different tracks. And Hamilton influences everywhere. Lyrically, there’s a lot of misogyny and homophobia to unpack throughout, which I don’t care for at all. Biggie gave us a STORY in this album. It’s an interesting listening experience with a tragic ending.
CCR, aka CLASSIC Classic Rock. Just wanna be stoned in someone’s barn listening to this. Love all the extended jams.
