Hot Buttered Soul
Isaac Hayesslow, jazzy, and full of soul. I learned he is the voice of Chef on South Park and is a scientologist. he died in his sixties after a stroke. but these were the songs of a younger man, full of life and passion.

I had no idea that the Eagles were so "western." Like of course Hotel California takes place in the desert, but it's a side that I wouldn't associate with them. I hadn't really put "Take It Easy" in anything but more of a pop-rock or just rock genre. But the rest of the album was so different. There is Banjo! The Eagles play THE BANJO. wtf. I never knew this. I guess the Eagles really are more than their hits.. Some tracks that really spoke to me as I sit in my bathtub at 1AM as I listened to this: 1. Train Leaves Here This Morning (soft and almost remorseful 2. Take the Devil (Badass.) 3. Early Bird (Reminds me of ZZTOP in a couple ways.)
