Popular Reviews

A lot of these songs sound like Beatles songs. I'm not saying they're knock offs necessarily, but they're like the Pibb Extra to the Beatles' Dr. Pepper. Overall passable I suppose. The low point was definitely No Return, which sounds generic and boring and has terrible mixing to boot. Suzanne's Still Alive, Harry Rag, and Tin Silver Man are probably the most notable and enjoyable tracks. I will probably not be listening to this album as a whole ever again, though.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jan 29 2021

I liked the funky sound this album had to it, and none of the tracks were too terribly bad to me. None of the tracks really pulled me in and got me tapping my feet or had lyrics I particularly appreciated, either. Perfectly average at 2.5, bumped up to 3 cause I like the funkiness

Zombie by Fela Kuti

Funky Jazz Album. Anothwr album with long songs Zombie gets a little repetitive for my tastes I think but all thenother songs have good development and interjections that make them worth listening to, unlike Bat out of Hell
