You've Come a Long Way Baby

Not very daring as an album but I enjoy the beats.
7.5/10
Favorite songs: Right Here Right Now, Rockafeller Skank, Gangster Tripping, Kalifornia, Love Island
Would I listen to it again? Maybe once in a while when I need something that makes me move.

Here's Little Richard
Little Richard
It must've been a very different experience listening to this in 1957, and it has lost some of its power since it served as inspiration for the sound of rock'n'roll bands after this, but the energy is still there and most of the songs are fun and short, so the 12-bar blues structure doesn't overstay its welcome.
Favorite songs: Tutti Frutti, Ready Teddy, Slipping And Sliding, Long Tall Sally, Rip It Up
Would I listen to it again? Yeah I can see myself doing that in the future.

Before And After Science
Brian Eno
My first experience with Brian Eno (other than albums he's produced for other artists). Some of the first tracks in the first half were enjoyable and I can see how they influenced other people like The Talking Heads, and I also liked the style of the lyrics. The second half leans more towards ambient music and it's the part of the album I enjoyed the most, there are parts of it that are quite moving.
Favorite songs: No One Receiving, Backwater, King's Lead Hat, Here He Comes, Julia With, By This River, Spider and I
Would I listen to it again? Definitely, I enjoyed this first listen and I feel like going more in depth with this album.

Madman Across The Water
Elton John
Here we go with my first Elton John album!
It's a collection of piano ballads (which is what you would expect from Elton John), the music is pleasing but the most inspired aspect of these songs is the lyrical content, with Elton John being more of a storyteller here (looked at the Wikipedia page and I guess the one I should shout out is Bernie Taupin).
Some tracks stood out to me (and I put those in the "favorite songs" section), but this is not really up my sleeve, the songs are all pretty similar.
Favorite songs: Tiny Dancer, Levon, Madman Across The Water, Indian Sunset, Goodbye
Would I listen to it again? I don't really feel like it, but it might be worthwhile as this one could be one of those albums that grows on you.

Traffic
Traffic
Never heard of this band before, but looking at their RYM page they seem to have a short solid discography.
The first of the album has the most interesting music, but the whole album is pretty consistent throughout.
Maybe it was pretty good for its time but it didn't blow my mind, it's just alright.
Favorite songs: Pearly Queen, Don't Be Sad, Who Knows What Tomorrow May Bring, Feelin' Alright, 40.000 Headman, Cryin' To Be Heard
Would I listen to it again? Nope, but I'm still curious to check out their other albums.

Live And Dangerous
Thin Lizzy
I only knew this band from the song "The Boys Are Back In Town" before listening to this. Very solid live rock album, similar vibes to "Live at Budokan" by Cheap Trick. Phil Lynott seems to be a very charismatic frontman and the band is pretty tight.
Favorite songs: Jailbreak, Emerald, Southbound, Massacre, Still In Love With You, Cowboy Song, The Boys Are Back In Town
Would I listen to it again? Not really, but it has given me interest in Thin Lizzy's discography.

Rush
I knew these guys but it's my first time actually listening to a Rush album. This is apparently their best record. It's never boring, always something to look out for in the music, stimulating material. Tom Sawyer, YYZ, Limelight, The Camera Eye, these are my highlights. Will listen to this album in the future, along with other music by Rush.
